At the 2009 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, proud dad Jerry O’Connell joked about his daughters, 10-month-old twins Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose.

He said, “I’m hoping they can make some money and help fund my horse racing habit. Note I said habit and not addiction.”

He also shared details about the girls’ very different personalities - but he’s not saying who’s who! One is “go with anything, you put her down, she’s cool with it,” and “one is just a little more demanding, and wants her way. If you have something shiny near you, she wants it and if you don’t give it to her she’s very upset.”

Meanwhile, he’s grateful for the grandparents so he and wife Rebecca Romijn can get out for a quick dinner every now and then.

He said, “We throw the kids at them and then we’ll take off for a couple of hours and go out to dinner. Sounds pretty tame, but when you have kids, you can’t fly off to Bora Bora for a weekend. Even a quiet dinner at Chili’s away from the kids is just — I love them! — [but] it’s a relief!”

He’s pretty funny, but he also seems like he’s very happy with his girls!

In the new issue of ELLE magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker opened up about her surrogate four-month-old twins, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge.

Their 7-year-old son, James Wilkie, wanted the responsibility of naming one of the twins. “He told me he really wanted Marion to be in the mix. We thought, ‘Are we crazy? Do we let our son name one of the girls? Is that the right thing to do? Is it important for him?’ And then he goes, ‘And I want it legal.’”

Of being a new mom again, SJP admits, “I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good. I love the smell of Balmex. Love it.”

It’s a good thing she likes the smell, because with two, we bet she’s changing a lot of diapers!

Arrested Development and Larry Sanders Show star Jeffrey Tambor and Kasia, his wife of eight years, welcomed twin boys on October 4, according to PEOPLE.

The actor’s rep told PEOPLE, “Everyone is thrilled and healthy.”

The couple named their new bundles of boy Hugo Bernard and Eli Nicholas. The dual addition makes a total of four children for Jeffrey and Kasia. They also have a three-year-old son Gabriel Kasper and a two-year-old sister Eve Julia.

Tambor also has adult children from a prior relationship.

We wish the family all the best with their new additions, and we can’t wait to see pictures of the little duo!

Mom Melissa Etheridge recently told OK! magazine about her plans to celebrate her twins Miller Steven and Johnnie Rose’s upcoming milestone - their third birthday!

She’s not one for making a big fuss about insisting on a huge birthday bash. Instead, she said she and wife Tammy Lynn prefer small parties.

She explained, “I believe that small children need small parties. They don’t need large, huge things, so we just have friends and family over, and each of them get their own birthday cakes. We always home-make everything.”

Melissa, who is also mom to Bailey Jean, 12 1/2, and Beckett, 10 1/2, also said, “When I am surrounded by my whole family, I’m completely at peace.”

We think she sounds like a cool mom!

During a recent visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Rebecca Romijn, new mom to nine-month-old twins Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, talked about the decision to name one of the girls Dolly, after Dolly Parton who Rebecca loves.

She told the host, “When I was six months pregnant, I saw her perform. Right before her show I sat with her and she asked me what I was thinking of naming my daughters. I said, ‘I’m thinking about Dolly for one of them’…I was a little bit embarrassed to say it.”

Rebecca continued, “Dolly said, ‘Oh, I would be so honored. Dolly was the name I was given, it’s not short for anything, and I don’t have any children of my own. I would be so honored. Please do it! Please do it!’ Then at the show, she dedicated [the song] “Little Sparrow” to ‘her new friend Rebecca and her little girls.’ And I was like a puddle. A puddle!”

So cool!
