What does the other half of Nicole Richie say about being a daddy to Harlow Winter Kate and a soon to be daddy to number two? Joel Madden simply says you must live and learn.

He tried to explain how his life has changed since the birth of his daughter 17 months ago. “You really can’t plan anything, you don’t know anything,” he says. “You just have to take it as it comes. I mean, we’re not the first people to have babies so you’re going to be alright no matter what. You have to have your own experience and learn as you go. Kids are very resilient and you just have to take it a day at a time.”

When it comes to his music he said, “It definitely gives you a whole new world to write about.” Having a family definitely opens up experiences you never knew existed.

We are sure we will be hearing more of Joel Madden’s parenting advice as his family expands in the coming months. We will let you know as soon as baby number two makes his or her big arrival!

Singer Kelis, who is pregnant for the first time, recently sounded off on Twitter regarding her pregnancy. She is just over eight months pregnant, and she’s “so ready” to have the baby because she feels like she has been “living in purgatory.”

She wrote, “I feel like I have been pregnant forever…Okay, yeah the better part of a year! It’s an eternity.” She also can’t wait to return to her former fashionista style. “Good grief, a girl can only stand but so much Lycra in one lifetime. I  have had enough…I want corsets and and tight jeans and platform stilettos and I want it now!” she wrote.

Aside from all the jokes, Kelis, who is expecting a boy,  wrote, “I want this little martian now! I can’t wait — the suspense is crazy.”

Gracing the cover of FitPregnancy’s June/July issue, Molly Ringwald is looking very zen and relaxed, considering the fact that she’s carrying twins!

In fact, Molly told the publication that just because she’s expecting double, that doesn’t mean she wants an automatic C-section scheduled. She said, “I really do feel that giving birth the natural way is important. Of course, if they tell me I have to have C-section because it’s dangerous for the babies not to, I won’t say no. But I don’t want to discount it as a possibility.”

Molly, who is due in August with one boy and one girl, says of her twins, “It’s exciting, especially since it’s a boy and girl…It’s the best of both worlds.”

We hope Molly has a wonderful - and safe - delivery!

Nicole Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden just signed papers on a very modest “mansion” in Hollywood. The couple purchased a 5400 square foot home for about $1.9 million and plan to move in with plenty of time to decorate the nursery for their second child who is coming soon. The house is on less than a half of an acre. It seems as if the couple really wants to live low key and be like normal folks. In reality that is a very fair price for a home in Hollywood at this time.

The four-bedroom home has five bathrooms and a powder room and features a large living room with vaulted ceilings and a giant skylight, according to the listing. The walled compound also features a cantina-style poolside bar and a guest house.

It sounds like the perfect home for the couple and their daughter Harlow. A nice quiet place for the family to grow.

Ana Ortiz is due with her baby girl in late July, but from the looks of things, she’s not worried one bit … even though she and her husband have yet to chose a name for the baby.

At a recent listening party in NYC for her Ugly Betty co-star Vanessa Williams’s new album, Ana said, “We have a short list I’m going to walk into the hospital with. And then I figure when I see her, [we’ll know.] I have my favorite. My husband has his favorite. He gets the last name so I get the first name. I feel like that’s fair.”

Good luck choosing, Ana! Meanwhile, we think she looks great. Don’t you?
