On The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, Katherine Heigl spoke about her impending adoption of a Korean girl.

Katherine revealed that adopting was something she always wanted to do because her sister Meg is  adopted  from Korea. Of sharing those feelings with a future husband, she told Ellen, “I just wanted to make sure that I was marrying a guy who understands that this was going to have to happen.”

Good thing for Josh Kelley that he was totally on board with the plan to adopt, and things are in the works for Josh and Katherine to bring home a 9-1/2-year-old daughter named Naleigh “real, real soon” said the actress.

Actress Katherine Heigl and her singer/songwriter hubby Josh Kelley are getting into the baby business! But don’t expect to see Katherine sporting any baby bumps anytime soon. The couple are planning to adopt!

Katherine and Josh have made no secret of their plans to adopt. Katherine’s sister Meg was adopted, and Katherine has been inspired by that experience.

Katherine’s rep confirmed the news to PEOPLE that the couple is adopting a baby girl from Korea. Katherine will announce the news officially during her appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show tomorrow.

Of adoption, Katherine has said, “It’s definitely something we’ve talked about and want to do. I want to honor her and her part in my life. I think adoption is a hugely important thing.”

In a recent interview with MTVNews, The Hills star Heidi reveled that she is ready to be a mom. Her husband, Spencer Pratt, might have something to say about that though.

Heidi said, “I think I was born ready. I’m very maternal. I’m very loving. I would be the best mom ever. [He feels] not quite the same, but maybe he just doesn’t know he wants kids yet. I think he never wants kids, but maybe I’ll have a surprise for him.”

We hope she’s kidding about that last part because Spencer might not react kindly to the news. In fact, he said if his wife gets pregnant she should be prepared to give the baby up for adoption or to meet him in divorce court!

I told her there’s a divorce or adoption. If she’s not down with the adoption, I think it’s divorce,” he said, admitting he’s not ready to be a dad because “I’m a baby. I’m not prepared…And I’m not sure the world wants a Spencer Pratt spawn.”

Of Spencer’s ultimatum, Heidi “‘No, sucker — you’ll be locked in. What do you mean?’”

We hope they are kidding!

Sex and the City’s Willie Garson is the proud new dad to 8-year old Nathan. The actor shared the new with TV Guide Magazine about the recent adoption, which he has been planning for years.

Though Willie admitted he really wanted to adopt a toddler, he fell in love with Nathan when he met him at an adoption fair in L.A.

“I couldn’t believe my kid was actually available for adoption. He’s so cute and sweet.”

Nathan has been living with Willie since February, and Willie said that he is adjusting to his new life rather well.

“He’s going into third grade, plays baseball, goes to karate and has a posse of pals,” he said. Willie also feels it’s important for Nathan to form a relationship with his biological mother.

“For many reasons, she couldn’t care for him, but I will never let her not see him,” he said.

Sounds like the new father-son duo are doing great!

According to Mary-Louise Parker, she has known since she was a little girl that she would adopt a child one day. The actress told PEOPLE, “I would daydream about it all the time. I thought about the fact that there were children who didn’t have anything, and I felt like I could help. It was something that weighed on me.”

That’s pretty deep for a young girl to feel! Mary-Louise made her dream come true in August 2007 when she adopted a girl from Africa, who she calls Ash. Of the adoption, she said: “It was something I did for the world and for my son and then for me. And when I say the world, I also mean my daughter. Once I knew her, she became part of that. But it’s hard raising two kids as a single person. It’s a lot of pressure.”

Mary-Louise is also mom to son William Atticus, her child with ex Billy Crudup.
