As the parents of a 2-1/2-year old, Amanda Peet and her husband David Benioff count their stars that they get a good night’s sleep. But it’s not quite luck - the couple has a surefire way to get their daughter to sleep through the night.

Last week, during an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, Amanda revealed, that her daughter, Frances ‘Frankie’ Pen, is a very good sleeper and that she “doesn’t wake up at all in the night.” Amanda makes sure of that by making her room pitch black by the use of blackout shades and even some of David’s socks. Amanda said, “My girlfriend came over the other day and said, ‘Her room is so lovely, but you kind of seem like serial killers.’”

When they travel, Amanda totes along navy sheets and duct tape to ensure that she can recreate the darkness of her daughter’s room where ever they go.

She said, “I’m sure when the staff that works at these hotels come and see our room they think we’re nuts.”

In a recent interview with Time Out New York Kids, Twilight star Peter Facinelli talked about his family life - and whether it will be expanding to a party of six.

According to the actor, who is married to Jennie Garth and has three daughters, Luca Bella, 12, Lola Ray, 6 1/2, and Fiona Eve, 3, the “world is made for a family of five. “When you get in a car, you can seat five comfortably. When you go out to dinner, you can seat five comfortably.”

He admits that when he grew up in a family of six, “Those were different days; Everyone climbed in the back of a Chrysler and your face was smashed up against the glass and nobody cared.”

However, he doesn’t count out having another child. In fact, he admits to making subconscious decisions toward allowing room for another child.

“I just bought a new RV the other day.We had a 33-foot and now we’ve moved up to a huge 40-foot Class A motor home. Who knows? Maybe I’m making room for one more child,” he shared.

In the December issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, Nicole Kidman spoke about how her body changed while she was pregnant with and then nursing daughter Sunday Rose, 16 months.

She said in the interview, They’re not very big, my boobs, so they just became normal size. I loved it! I felt very Woman.”

She continued, “When you’ve had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling!”

She also admitted that she hopes to get pregnant again.

Of her husband Keith Urban, Nicole gushed, “I love being in love. I believe in the power of love, the way it can heal. The more you keep choosing it — because there are times when you can choose to be angry at the person or to love him — the more it nourishes a family.”

They seem like such an awesome couple. Sunday Rose is Nicole’s first biological child, but she has been a long time mom - she has two adopted children with ex Tom Cruise.

As she received an advocacy award from the Hope for Depression Foundation in Manhattan on Monday Brooke Shields spoke about her own very sad experience with postpartum depression.

She said, “We think and we feel that we should just be able to handle it on our own I’ve always been strong enough to get through every single difficult situation in my life. I grew up in an addictive household. My mother [Teri] had acute alcoholism. It’s in my blood. I was never going to be the one to succumb to it.”

Brooke, mom to Rowan, 7, and Grier, 3, explained that she suffered from the disease after a miscarriage and 7 IVF attempts before Grier came along.

She revealed, “I finally had a healthy beautiful baby girl and I couldn’t look at her. I couldn’t hold her and I couldn’t sing to her and I couldn’t smile at her … All I wanted to do was disappear and die.”

Luckily, Brooke got the help she needed to understand what she was going through and to get past it. She’s an incredible advocate!

Rebecca Gayheart has kept mum for months as her burgeoning belly became the elephant in the room, but she’s not keeping quiet anymore!

She finally shared with In Touch that she and hottie hubby Eric Dane are expecting their first child together. She said they are “absolutely looking forward” to becoming parents.

She said, “We’ve always wanted to be parents.I think Eric is going to be a wonderful dad, and hopefully I’ll be a good mom.”

She’s having a great pregnancy and taking care of herself (and baby!) by eating right and exercising via yoga and walks on the beach.

She added, “I’m having a great, great time right now and loving my life.”

Rebecca is due in the spring.
