New mom Jessica Simpson feels “positive” about her post-baby weight loss so far
Celebrity mom Jessica Simpson took a lot of heat during her pregnancy for gaining perhaps more weight than the public felt she should have, but she’s proud of her weight loss success so far. And that’s all that matters, right?
The new mom, who has lost most of the 70 pounds she gained during her pregnancy with the help of Weight Watchers and working with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, told Us Weekly, “I feel positive about how I’ve done so far and really good about the goals I have set.”

Jessica also revealed that the media’s perception of what she should look like is daunting, but she’s trying to keep it from affecting her. She said, “I really have to separate myself from the world’s expectations and really just be healthy with myself. I’m not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman.”

Harley is very proud of Jessica’s efforts, too, saying that he’s “never seen as consistent a weight loss” during his 20 year career as a trainer to the stars. He shared, “Jessica’s right where she needs to be. She’s very brave to do this in a healthy, more realistic way.”
Jessica welcomed daughter Maxwell with fiance Eric Johnson in May.

dont you find it interesting that she claimed she only gained 40#s but know she boasts about losing the 70#s that she gained during her pregnancy. Congrats, Jess but you should have been honest up front. I’ve been saysing there is no way she only gained 40#s.
