Tia Mowry shocked by post-baby body

Tia Mowry, July 2012Actress Tia Mowry was so happy when her first baby arrived, but she was also really surprised…

Tia’s twin Tamera is due this month!

“I was shocked that my belly didn’t completely go down,” the actress admitted. “I was so used to seeing so many women in the media flaunting their bodies four weeks after having a baby.

“Kudos to those who have genes that they can get right back into shape two weeks, four weeks after having a baby,” she added. “But that never happened to me.”

Tia remembered asking her doctor, “Why didn’t my belly go down right away.” The doctor explained that it can take up to a year. “I wish somebody would have been honest with me about that,” Tia added.

But the bad news didn’t change Tia’s priorities – she still prefers spending time with her son to working out at the gym. The actress and her husband Cory Hardrict welcomed their first child, Cree Taylor, in June 2011.

“It’s okay for you to not have to be in the gym every single day to try to lose your weight,” Tia reasoned. “Because for me personally, I like to spend most of my time with my child [to] savor these moments because they’re not a little tiny baby forever.”

In fact, Tia is so protective of her family time that she chopped off her hair. The actress is now sporting an adorable new pixie cut. She cried at first but finally admitted that having short hair is “very liberating and definitely saves time.”

Tia says she’s “so happy” with her decision to cut her own. “It literally takes me three minutes to do my hair,” she said. “I get out of the shower, put some conditioner in it, and it’s just ‘let’s go’ and I love that! I think it’s very, very important to find products that allow us to be able to have more time to do things like that.”

You are supposed to tie your stomach around the clock if you have birth virginally. The minute the baby pops out you tie it tight with for example a bed sheet side ways. Really tight and on top of the tight sheet you wear a spandex pants to hold it in place. My husband helps with that since he has muscle power and strength to pull. Tying your stomach helps the stomach muscles to try get back in the original shape. Why do you think you were leg cast, a bra… to support. I m from Uganda and I live in the United States and still now Ugandans do this every time we give birth
