Alexis Knapp takes each day as a single mother “as they come”
Alexis Knapp is just being honest about her life as a single mom in a new interview for Just Jared.
The 23-year-old actress spoke about her new film Pitch Perfect and how she is “breaking her back” to support herself and 1-year-old daughter Kailani with Ryan Phillippe. However, she says she “wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Of finding the happy medium between working and motherhood, Alexis revealed, “There is no perfect balance. As a young, single working mother with a sporadic and intense schedule, you take on each day as they come, and hope to be the best mother you can possibly be.”

Though Ryan, who has yet to confirmed his paternity of baby Kailani, may not be a large part of his new daughter’s life, but Alexis says she and Kailani spend “quality time with [her] closest friends, family and pets.”

Despite the fact that Ryan has yet to confirm whether he is Kailani’s dad, Alexis named her daughter Kailani Merizalde Phillippe Knapp.

Did she actually say that he has had nothing to do with Kai? Or are you just interpreting that? Even if she did come out and say it, I wouldn’t put it past her to be trying to provoke a statement from Ryan.This is the woman who announced her pregnancy, and who the father was, at an industry event without first contacting Ryan. I don’t trust her sincerity in anything she says.
