Kristin Cavallari says her “painful” labor was “worth every minute”
Kristin Cavallari admits that labor and delivery were tough… but well worth the effort! The new mom and her fiancé Jay Cutler are the proud first-time parents of a baby boy.
Kristin says motherhood has taught her what really matters
Jay was away at Chicago Bears training camp when Kristin was awakened at 4 a.m. with what she thought were contractions. “I texted Jay and he happened to be awake and he said, ‘I’m coming home!” she said. After a call to the doctor, however, Kristin deduced that it was false labor.
“We went for a walk and I could get through the pains,” she explained. “I said, ‘Ouch this really hurts,’ but I was kind of laughing through them. My doctor was like, ‘Trust me, you’ll know when it’s the real deal!”

The “real deal” happened just hours later. By the time Jay returned from football practice that afternoon, Kristin was ready to head to the hospital. After 10 hours of labor and 20 minutes of pushing, Camden Jack was born – at 2 a.m. on his August 8 due date.

“The pain was like nothing I’ve ever experienced,” Kristin said. “It was so painful but a different kind of pain — because I knew we were going to meet our son. It was worth every minute and I’ll do it again.”
