Richie Sambora calls daughter Ava his angel

Richie Sambora is calling his daughter Ava his angel for helping him decide to go to rehab.
In an interview with Classic Rock magazine, the 53-year-old Bon Jovi guitarist said his 15-year-old daughter was a “big part” of his decision to go to rehab last year to get sober.
He said, “She (Ava) was like an angel to me, man… that was the catalyst for me actually getting sober.”
He is very grateful for his experience in rehab, saying, “People look at rehab as a bad thing … I looked at it as an opportunity to do something positive for myself.”

He added, “Luckily I wasn’t that guy who lost his band, his family, his house and his job. I wasn’t a victim.”
