Pregnant Tiffany Thornton blogs about maternity wear

Tiffany ThorntonPregnant Tiffany Thornton is sounding off about maternity clothes in her latest guest blog for Celebrity Baby Scoop.

Tiffany Thornton, who is expecting a baby boy who she and her husband Christopher Carney have named KJ this summer, wrote about her challenges when it comes to finding comfortable and affordable maternity clothes (I sense a Tiffany Thornton maternity line coming out in the future …).

She wrote: “Why does it seem the maternity stores in the mall are all so pricey? I have been to a few and have, of course, liked the clothes but I just don’t think I want to spend hundreds of dollars on clothes I will only be wearing when I’m pregnant.

I bought two pairs of maternity jeans at the beginning of my pregnancy, wore them once and swore I’d never wear them again. Not having a button and zipper works against me and the pants end up feeling like they are sliding down all day long. I decided I would just buy regular jeans a few sizes bigger than I normally wear and not button them. All I have to do is buy a long tank top and pull it down over the button and zipper and no one can even tell. That way after my pregnancy is over I can have the jeans taken in and still wear them after pregnancy when I get back in shape.

I did find a very comfortable pair of maternity shorts at Target. I tried on tons of maternity shorts at the more expensive stores and didn’t find any that I liked and was surprised that the ones at Target were my fav! Target carries the Liz Lange maternity line and the long summer dresses are super comfortable.

All in all, I was happy to find that I didn’t have to spend a ton of money at the maternity stores and was more satisfied with the clothes I found at Target and the innovative ways I found to get clothes I would actually wear again. Best of luck with your maternity shopping adventures and don’t forget to check out the Liz Lange line at Target.”
