Sienna Miller is a new mom. She and beau Tom Sturridge welcome their first child today.

Sienna has been uber private about her life over the past eight years, and remained mostly silent on the topic of her pregnancy — for the most part.

According to WENN.com, Sienna “had been ordered not to publicly discuss her expectant status amid fears she’ll be accused of double-standards over her eight-year privacy battle. She was at the forefront of a campaign to improve press standards in her native U.K., telling an official probe into the News of the World phone-hacking scandal she was left in a state of ‘complete anxiety and paranoia’ by media intrusion.”
However, Sienna did break her silence a little during an interview with Britain’s Vogue magazine in March, saying, “I’m feeling fine. It’s all progressing nicely and it’s very exciting. It’s nice to start a new decade… I’m in my second trimester, so I’m ‘I-can-talk-about-it’ pregnant, even though I’m under strict instructions not to say anything as it would completely defeat the point of everything I’ve tried to achieve in the last eight years.”
Sienna and Tom have been dating since early 2011.
