In an interview with People, the former Dancing with the Stars champion talks about his precious daughter. “I kiss her non-stop all day long,” he says of the baby girl born on May 2.
J.R., 28, an Iraq war veteran, says being raised by a single mom didn’t have any impact on his own paternal instincts. “The minute she was born I was like, ‘This is where I’m meant to be.’ I felt excitement and love and it was all about her,” he says.

J.R. and his girlfriend, Diana Gonzalez-Jones, have nicknamed their daughter Belle – and she’s been the perfect baby: “It’s been easy so far,” says the proud daddy. “She’s eating, sleeping six, seven hours a night. It’s crazy!”
