Amber Portwood, the trouble star of MTV reality series Teen Mom, doesn’t want second chances – she wants to spend the next five years in prison.
In January, Amber, 22, was sentenced to five years in the big house for drug possession, but the judge offered to vacate the sentence if the young mother successfully completed a drug rehab program.
After several months of unsuccessful treatment, Amber has given up and asked the judge to throw her in the slammer, reports TMZ. Her last drug test came back positive for the opiate-based drug Suboxone, a highly addictive drug similar to Morphine.
In a court appearance, Amber told the judge that she has been unable to stay clean since starting the program and will always be a “bad girl.” She pleaded to be removed them from drug court program and sent to her only alternative: prison.
As a result, Amber is in Madison County jail in Indiana and will remain there until her sentencing. No word on who currently has custody of Amber’s young daughter, Leah.
Do you think prison is the best place for Amber?
