Nicole Kidman wants to protect kids from media

Nicole KidmanNicole Kidman, celebrity mom to daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret with husband Keith Urban, covers the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar Australia holding baby Faith (who’s face is turned away from the camera). But the photo wasn’t taken as part of the cover shoot. The photographer took some photos of Nicole and her girls for the family album — but Harper’s Bazaar really wanted one for it’s cover photo. Though Nicole is generally very protective of putting her kids in the spotlight, she allowed it.

The interviewed explained the moment that the photograph was taken, saying, “Sunday Rose and Faith arrived after their sleeps to see Mummy. Kidman didn’t want to put them down; Sunday Rose donned one of the tuxedo jackets from the clothing racks because it was getting chilly. The photographer then took some shots of Kidman with the girls solely for her family album.”

Nicole, whom the interviewer called “genuinely warm” said of allowing Harper’s Bazaar to use the photo, ”I think it’s OK, because you can’t see their faces; they’re still protected. I feel it’s a really lovely way to celebrate being a mum and being a family, and they’re my daughters, and they’re Keith’s daughters [laughs] … you can see the hair!”
