Bill and Giuliana Rancic: We’re having a baby!
“2012 is going to be our year.” That’s what Bill Rancic told E! News last December. And it turns out his prediction was right. Bill and wife Giuliana Rancic are expecting their first child!
Giuliana says they never gave up hope
“We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered,” Giuliana said. Added Bill, “We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey.”
The baby, due late summer, is the genetic child of the couple and is being carried by a gestational surrogate.

Fans have followed the reality stars’ lengthy struggles to conceive a baby. Giuliana endured countless failed IVF treatments and suffered a miscarriage.
“We received an incredible amount of love and prayers from viewers around the world,” said the E! News anchor and Fashion Police co-host, “and we want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for their love.”
Giuliana credits Bill and her “attitude” for getting her through her struggles
The happy announcement follows several grueling months that included Giuliana being diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing a successful double mastectomy. “I’m good,” the cancer survivor told Today. “You do what the doctors tell you to do and it’s going to be OK.” Fortunately, Giuliana will not need chemotherapy treatments.
How Giuliana discovered she had cancer
The parents-to-be are in the fifth season of their reality series Giuliana & Bill, which airs on the Style Network. Just last week, the couple confirmed that they would host the Eva Longoria-produced dating series Ready for Love, which is slated to debut later this year on NBC. The busy twosome recently opened RPM Italian, a new restaurant in Chicago, and Bill also announced that he and his wife plan to renew their vows this summer “and really take life on and look at it in a new light.”
