Golfer Bubba Watson has won the Masters! But his prestigious green jacket can’t compete with the real prize: a newly adopted son.
Bubba and wife Angie started the adoption process four years ago but they didn’t get serious about it until this past winter. They were turned down multiple times, the last time coming on Monday of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
One day later, however, the phone rang and the couple learned that a South Florida family liked their profile and wanted them to adopt their newborn son. The new baby arrived just before Augusta National Sunday.

Angie, a former professional basketball player, stand 6-foot-2 and rarely misses Bubba tournaments – especially one as important as this one – but she had good reason to stay home this time: the adoption is not yet finalized, and the baby cannot leave Florida until it is.

Bubba and Angie have leased a house in Orlando until they can return home – with 1-month-old Caleb – to their residence in Scottsdale, Ariz.
