Elizabeth Banks opens up about not being able to conceive
In the upcoming March issue of Women’s Health magazine, new mom Elizabeth Banks opens up about becoming a mom via surrogate last year and how she was able to come to terms with not being able to conceive her own child.
The What to Expect When You’re Expecting star told Women’s Health that after years of trying to conceive she and her husband Max Handelman decided to go the route of a surrogate to welcome son Felix.

She said, “It helps that other moms had said that once they had their babies, they forgot they were ever pregnant. So once my focus became the baby and not the pregnancy, it was a very easy decision.”

She also shared the “secret” to her and Max’ successful 19-year (and counting!) relationship, saying, “Working together provides a lot of balance in our life and it’s a way for us to [see each other], because I travel so much for work. I have an amazing marriage and it will be long-lasting. I think I’m a good mom.
