Faith Kidman Urban celebrates 1st birthday
Everyone was surprised last December when Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban announced the birth of their second child together. The happy parents welcomed Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, born on Dec. 28, 2010.

Faith joined big sister Sunday Rose, now 3, as well as Nicole’s adopted kids with first husband Tom Cruise: Connor, 16, and Isabella, 19.

Faith is biologically Nicole and Keith’s child and was born via a gestational carrier at Nashville’s Centennial Women’s Hospital. Her first name reflects the faith that Nicole and Keith say they needed while waiting for their daughter. Faith’s middle name honors Nicole’s late grandmother.
“Having given birth and then being there to see my child born in that way, I felt so much love for our surrogate, gestational carrier,” said Nicole. “Anyone that’s been in the place of wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss you go through. Struggling with fertility is such a big thing and it’s not something that I would run away from talking about. We were in a place of desperately wanting another child and I couldn’t get pregnant. I get emotional just talking about it, because I’m so grateful.”
