Jodie Sweetin “centered on mommy life”
Jodie Sweetin‘s past drug addiction is no secret, but the former Full House star recently opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about how motherhood has transformed her life.
Jodie, mom to daughters Zoie, 3 1/2, and Beatrix, 14 months, said: “I went through some tough stuff and now I’m centered on mommy life. I was able to turn everything around. It’s been a really positive experience for me now. Motherhood changed my priorities. And you grow up a lot when you have kids — hopefully! For me, it was a huge motivator for me. I found myself becoming a different person; a better person and happier inside. I became happier with the simple things in life and I think that’s a direct result of being a mom and all the growth that has happened since then. For me, motherhood really helped change everything in my life, in a wonderful way.”

Of turning her past into a positive aspect of her life, Jodie admitted she’d like to use her experiences to help others. She share, “I’m getting my certificate to become an alcohol and drug counselor. I thought that after everything that I’ve been through, I’d like to turn it into something positive. At this point, I’m not really sure if I’ll do with my certificate. I could work at different facilities, I could use it in my public speaking. There’s a lot of things that it could open doors for me if I decided to really focus on that and really get into it. It’s just one of those things that I just thought, ‘I’ve been through so much,’ and I thought that it would be a positive thing to make out of everything and hopefully be able to help some people as well.”
