Bethenny Frankel’s “sorta-kinda” rules of motherhood

Bethenny Frankel rules of motherhoodIn the November issue of Parenting magazine, on which she graces the cover with daughter Bryn, celebrity mom Bethenny Frankel reveals her modern rules of motherhood.

The mom of one openly admits that when it comes to motherhood she has “no idea what I’m doing, but it is really that hard?” She shares her 11 rules of motherhood including Rule 1: “Try not to let the haters get you down…. just let it roll off your back;” Rule 3: “Instead of aiming for perfection, find the best balance you can.”

All of Bethenny’s rules of motherhood are smart and sassy, but her credo of motherhood is consistent through all of them — just be there for your child.

But our favorite of her rules is #11: Don’t just teach your child about life — let her teach you, too. She said, “I try to remember this rule whenever I’m not feeling so pure myself and am being grouchy or moody. Bryn’s shown me how to be joyful and to be in the moment, and that things care be so pure.”
