Halle was scheduled to make her Broadway debut in September, but can’t make it work. The producers of the highly anticipated play, The Mountaintop, attribute the cast change to Halle’s “custody issues.”
Halle was to portray a maid at the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (played by Samuel L. Jackson) was shot, reports the New York Times.
