New mom Jen Schefft is a worrier!
New mom Jen Schefft admits that she is not the mom she thought she’d be! In fact, she tends to over-worry about…. well, everything when it comes to her sweet new baby girl, Mae, who was born in November.
In an article in the new issue of Us Weekly, Jen revealed:
I’m not as laid-back as I thought — and hoped — I’d be! I’m more high-strung and want to micromanage everything. I’m totally a germophobe all of a sudden, whereas Joe is more laid-back, knowing that if this was our second or third child, we wouldn’t be so pristine. He’s not afraid to get her dirty. Me, I want everyone’s hands washed; I want the place spotless.
Jen also admitted that worrying about Mae is the biggest challenge of motherhood for her:
I’m always worried about something. If it’s not her today, it’s what’s going to happen in two years. Is she going to be OK? I didn’t realize how much I’d worry.
One thing Jen did realize? The love she’d have for her daughter:
I knew I would love her this much, but I didn’t know how that actually felt until she got here.
Jen also said that her favorite part of motherhood is “just loving” her daughter!
