Halle’s rep confirms that the actress quit her role in New Year’s Eve, a film scheduled to shoot in New York this week. Katherine Heigl will replace her. Halle’s decision is “due to pending custody litigation involving her daughter.”
Halle “has attempted to resolve these custody litigation involving her daughter,” the rep told UsMagazine.com. “She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention.

A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do. Good for Halle …and her daughter.

I have never heard anything bad about Gabriel, just that he wanted to affirm his parental rights and have joint custody. Sounds like Halle doesn’t want to share. I’ve always wondered if she got involved with him for his good genetic material because that woman wanted a baby bad, and when she dumped him she just expected him to go away.

Brenda, I never heard anything bad about him either, but it sure does look like he’s just after Halle’s money. Remember: he petitioned for custody WITH SUPPORT. I hope Nahla has an involved father, but …
