MTV announces cast of Teen Mom 2
Enough is enough! MTV has just introduced the cast of its second installment of the hit show Teen Mom.
Do shows like Teen Mom glamorize teenage pregnancy?
Teen Mom?made tabloid superstars out of the first season’s cast: Farrah, Catelynn, Amber and Maci. Will it do the same for the new girls?
MTV pulled specific girls from its 16 and Pregnant reality show to star in the upcoming season’s Teen Mom, premiering Jan. 11 at 10 p.m. US Weekly magazine?shared exclusive details about the four young mothers:
Leah Messer
Leah?was dating Corey Simms for just one month when she found out she was pregnant with twins. She broke up with her boyfriend after?a cheating scandal and is now an 18-year-old single mom to Aliannah and Aleeah, 12 months.
Original Teen Mom cast member Amber is in a world of trouble?
Jenelle Evans
Jenelle is a 19-year-old mom from North Carolina. She is estranged from 25-year-old Andrew Lewis, the father of her son Jace, 16 months.
Farrah, also from season one, has had more than her share of public drama
Kailyn Lowry
Kailyn’s family disowned her when she told them she was pregnant. Her son Isaac is not 11 months old. Kailyn, 18, and “baby Izzy” moved in with his father, Jonathan “Jo” Rivera, who lives with his family.

Chelsea Houska
Chelsea, a 19-year-old from South Dakota, and her ex Adam Lind, also 19, are parents to 15-month-old Aubree. Adam skipped town for three weeks after Aubree was born, calling Aubree “a mistake.”

In a way it is, but it really does show the sacrifices that the teens have to make, and how hard it is. If anything i think that it makes them practice safer sex.

The cast of Teen Mom 2, the MTV show, does nothing more than glorify teen pregnancy. Every weekly magazine shows them splashed on the cover, like they are celebrities. Instead of celebrity status, they need birth control. Our welfare system is burdened enough.

I agree with coolkid. I work with mentally retarded teens who said they would love to get pregnant to be on 16 & Pregnant or Teen Mom.
