Johnny, whose thriller The Tourist hits theaters next Friday, says he feels like he and Vanessa, a French model, are already married. They are parents to “the kiddies ” Lily-Rose, 11, and Jack, 8.

“I never found myself needing that piece of paper,” he added. “Marriage is really from soul to soul, heart to heart. You don’t need somebody to say, okay you’re married.” But would he ever consider it? Yes, “if Vanessa wanted to get hitched,” Johnny would be more than happy!

I am continually disappointed that celebs don’t think marriage is necessary. That being said, however, I commend Johnny Depp for his ongoing commitment to Vanessa and their children. My guess is that living far away from Hollywood helps a lot.
