Mariah Carey hopes her unborn baby doesn’t hate Christmas
Mariah Carey has an odd fear — she’s afraid her future child might hate Christmas. Why? Because while pregnant, Mariah was recording her Merry Christmas II You album… so baby on the way may already be sick of Christmas!
In response to an interview question about which songs from her new album Merry Christmas II You that the pop diva sang to her unborn child, Mariah responded:
The whole album, because I was recording this, and that’s what was going on. I just hope that they don’t turn out hating Christmas!
Did anyone else notice that she said “they”? They, not he, she or even it? Do you think it was just a slip or are celeb parents to be Mariah and Nick Cannon expecting twins? Well, it took Mariah long enough to reveal that she was even pregnant, and don’t even get us started on her weird response when Ellen DeGeneres asked to guess the baby’s gender, so it’s unlikely that she’ll share any more details on that front anytime soon.
Meanwhile, despite singing all those Christmas songs, Mariah is not sick of the season. Of her holiday plans, she said,
I’m trying to figure out how I can so some of the things, but a lot of the things are just out. I’m trying to figure out where we’re going for Christmas, because I usually go to Aspen, but I’m not supposed to go there this year because I can’t ski and I can’t really do any of that stuff being pregnant.
Like sipping hot toddies by the fire? Mmm…
What did you miss out on while pregnant?
