Michael J. Fox credits Parkinson’s for helping him become a better father

Michael J. Fox is looking on the bright side. According to Celebrity Baby Scoop, the father of four actually credits his diagnosis with Parkinson’s for making him become a better father.

He said: “I’d been drinking too much and cruising along the fast lane before that, but the diagnosis made me an even bigger idiot. My boozing, the subsequent depression, and my increasing pain isolated me from my wife Tracy and my son, Sam Michael. I hit rock bottom.”

He continued, “And so I turned myself around. In fact, Parkinson’s has made me a better person. A better husband, father and overall human being.”

Michael and his wife Tracy are parents to Sam Michael , 21, twins Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, 15, and Esmé Annabelle, 9.

It’s great that he can own up to his mistakes.
