Eli Manning and his wife Abby are expecting their first child, according to two different sources.

Celebrity Baby Scoop reported that Eli’s brother Cooper told Us magazine, “They are going to be great parents. Everyone is very excited!”

A source also reportedly told the New York Post, “They are both so happy and excited. Eli is being very protective of Abby, as it is still early days.” A due date has yet to be revealed.

Eli and Abby, college sweethearts, have been married since 2008.

Congrats to the couple. We hope Abby is having a safe and healthy pregnancy.

When I’m feeding him lunch, I’m already thinking about his dinner. It’s preparing for everything and loving him, and spending the time.”

A rep for the couple said Eddy is named for Eddy Marney “… a major influence in both Céline and René’s lives.”

And Nelson was named for Nelson Mandela. The rep said, “René said that in just the few minutes they were able to spend with him, they were impressed by the human being he is.”

She added, “Céline and René want their children to be inspired by their names, because they were so inspired by these men.”
