Mark Wahlberg’s new role: his son’s punching bag!

Dad of four Mark Wahlberg recently told Jimmy Kimmel about his son Michael’s newest passion — boxing!

He shared, “My son is obsessed with boxing.”

Unfortunately, it’s not so fun for Mark. The great dad that he is, he allows his son to beat him up a bit!

He said, “As soon as we got home [from seeing boxer Manny Pacquiao] he wanted to go in the ring and just pound the crap out of me. He puts on the gloves, tells me to get on my hands and knees and to put my hands behind my back and he just punches me as hard as he can. Fun for him, not fun for me because literally I was like, ‘This kid is staring to hit hard man!’ I had a bit of a headache.”

Poor Mark!

She told OK! magazine at the Shutter Island premiere in New York City recently, “He’s being very, very sweet to her. He’s very into the baby. He’s not so much into me being into the baby. I have to pretend not to like the baby very much or my son will [get upset].”

Meanwhile, she insists her daughter is “advanced”: “She’s smiling. She’s only a month old, but she’s very advanced.”

Claudia Schiffer: Model mama

Claudia Schiffer, who it pregnant with her third child, was named Model of the Year at the 2010 ELLE Style Awards in London recently, and she shared with Celebrity Baby Blog some of her pregnancy style and beauty secrets.

She advised, “I’m not the sort of person who likes to wear tight clothes when I’m pregnant, but I’m not a fan of maternity dresses either, so my advice would be to get things a few sizes bigger and have them tailored to fit.”

For her growing belly, she said, “I do like to put a lot of cream on my tummy, as long it’s natural. I think it really works to help stretch marks and make the skin really nice and soft.”

She suggested, “Balance Me oil is really good, Mama Mio has a thick buttery cream which is amazing and I also use this French organic oil too — I alternate them.”

As for what she puts into her body — not just on it — Claudia revealed, “During my first pregnancy, I started to eat organically and healthily because that was the first time I actually thought about what I was putting in my body. I’m still doing that today and I’m also just taking it easy, not working out too much, just enjoying this time in my life.”

She looks great, and she’s due in May!

Khloe Kardashian Odom talks about the possibility of kids

Will newlyweds Khloe Kardashian Odom and hubby Lamar have a baby of their own soon (Khloe’s sis Kourtney welcomed a son in December). Well, that remains to be seen. Khloe told Steppin’ Out magazine that they are not rushing into parenthood.

However, she added, “But we’re not stopping ourselves from having kids, either. We’re just being a healthy married young couple … I’m not sitting here staring at an ovulation calendar. I’m not saying to Lamar, ‘Okay, it’s time, let’s go!’ Yes, I’m not on the pill, but people stir my words around. Let’s just say sometimes I talk too much.”

Meanwhile, she’s enjoying being a wife! She said, “Lamar is just like another Kourtney – he’s a little bit of a slob. But in a way I kind of like it because I feel like I’m making his life better by cleaning up after him.”

Ellen Pompeo on having the “best of both worlds”

New mom Ellen Pompeo recently spoke with TV Guide about how to find happiness.

“I am over the moon. Happiness is not that easy to achieve, but having a handsome husband, a beautiful baby, and a great job helps,” she said. (We envy her!)

She did admit that it’s tough to leave her baby when it’s time to go to work on the set of Grey’s Anatomy, stating, “It’s hard to leave an infant. Everything in your gut goes against that. Being a mother is the most fun job I’ve ever had.”

But she feels fortunate to be able to be a mom and still work! “Career women tend to get pregnant late, and I have to say I would never have done it any other way. I have the best of both worlds and I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything.”
