Jimmie Johnson muses about becoming a father
NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson’s expecting his first child with his wife Chandra in July, but he’s hoping that becoming a father won’t slow him down.
He told the Virginian-Pilot in a new interview, “Only time will tell. “I think in some lives, it can slow things down … for myself, I really don’t think so.”
He added, “There’s no telling what type of experience being a parent is going to be, I know I have Channi’s full support to chase my career and what I need to do.”
So sweet! It’s a good thing he’s supportive of her, too — especially when it came to her morning sickness, which was a lot more than just in the morning!! He said, “I didn’t realize that morning sickness was really an all-day sickness. It’s not just that it’s in the a.m.”
Luckily, she seems to be faring much better now!
