Alison Sweeney shaves Megan’s head!
Alison Sweeney took a gamble on an old wives tale recently. And we’re happy for Megan that it actually worked!
Alison, star of Days of Our Lives and host of The Biggest Loser, told Ellen DeGeneres on a recent visit to her show that she was following her hairdresser’s advice to grow thicker hair for her daughter, nine-month-old Megan Hope.
“In Latin American cultures they have a thing where they shave babies heads because when their hair’s so fine, it grows back thicker. It’s an old wives’ tale.”
So after a bit of champagne with her own mom, Alison decided to go for it!
“We shaved her head. So of course if you’re going to do it, you have to do the mohawk first! But it’s grown back thicker! It really has! It’s cute and thick and blonde. It’s a bit of a Chia Pet sort of thing.”
Has anyone out there ever tried that? Does it work?
