SNL’s baby boom
Maya Rudolph, who is pregnant with her second child, recently spoke about the baby boom that occurred on Saturday Night Live. Former co-stars Ana Gasteyer has a 7 year old and a 15-month-old; Tina Fey has a daughter, Alice Zenobia, 3 1/2; and Amy Poehler has an eight-month-old, Archie. Maya’s first child, Pearl Bailey is 3 1/2.
According to The Star, she joked that all these kids are going to grow up to be the future cast of Saturday Night Live. “If all those babies got together, that would be a trip. I’m sure Lorne [Michaels] is already all over it.”
Maya left the show due to the nature of the show’s hours, but she still looks forward to play dates with cast members (current and former) and their kids. She said she and Tina got Pearl and Alice together once, but they were so small … They weren’t even making eye contact yet, just wriggling around like bald-headed beauties. Now it would be a different world.”
Maya is due in November. She and Paul Thomas Anderson are keeping the baby’s sex a surprise until the delivery room!
