Private Practice star Taye Diggs and his wife of 6 years, Idina Menzel, are expecting their first baby according to their representatives. The couple who met in 1996 while performing Rent on Broadway and started dating shortly after their run in the hit play, got married in 2003.

This news isn’t really a surprise for fans of the couple as Idina Menzel has recently stated that having kids was “…definitely in the plans. I’ll settle down and start popping out some babies.” She recently finished promoting her third musical album and felt that this was the time.

Actress and Playboy cover model Nikki Ziering and her boyfriend are new parents! The couple welcomed a baby girl at 11:14 a.m. on March 27 in Newport Beach, California, according to the actress’s rep, Jerry Shandrew.

Jerry confirmed to PEOPLE that the baby girl, who the couple named Tatum Ella Reynolds, weighed 8 lbs., 13 oz. and was delivered by way of C-section.

The baby is the first for Nikki, 37, who is divorced from Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Ian Ziering, and her boyfriend, 39, who works in medical sales and marketing.

Nikki is beautiful, so hopefully little Tatum will take after her mama! We wish the new family well.

Actor and comedian Tim Allen and his wife Jane welcomed a new baby girl into their family this past weekend near their home in Los Angeles. The couple who have been married since October of 2006 were very excited about this new addition and have been patiently anticipating her arrival for months.

The baby, whom they named Elizabeth, is just a tiny thing, born weighing just 5 pounds, 13 ounces. According to ET Online, the couple themselves called Mary Hart, hostess of Entertainment Tonight, just four hours after the birth to let her know that it was baby day!

Elizabeth is the couples first child together, however she does have a big sister from a previous marriage of Tim Allen named Katherine.

After the couples call to Mary Hart, their publicist told ET, “The couple is thrilled at the arrival of their new baby and are doing great.” Congrats to the couple! We are sure that Elizabeth is just a doll!

On a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Halle Berry spoke out about motherhood, whether or not she is going to have another one and her daughter’s one-year birthday celebration.

Although she’s previously been quoted saying that she wouldn’t mind giving her daughter Nahla a sibling, she told Jay, “My mind wants another child, but my body is saying something else.”

One thing is for sure. She has absolutely no plans to wed her baby daddy and  beau Gabriel Aubry. After giving the host a definitive “no,” she added: The answer to that is never going to change.”

Nahla recently turned one and Halle said they had a very low-key celebration for the little one. “I don’t really understand why you have to [have a big party]. We had cheap little party hats, from like CVS,” she revealed.

Halle also told Jay, “I am enjoying motherhood. It’s been the best thing that has ever happened to me in my whole life, actually.”

‘How I Met Your Mother’ star Alyson Hannigan had a very exciting 35th birthday indeed this year. On her birthday she gave birth to her own little birthday present, a girl named Satyana Denisof. She is the first child for Alyson Hannigan and her boyfriend Alexis Denisof.

Little Satyana was born on March 24th, one week ago today. According to the couples representative, “They’re very excited, and mom and baby are doing great.” The couple did not announce the sex of the baby prior to announcing her birth, and just announced that they were pregnant back in October. The mom-to-be was very open on an episode of Ellen however when she spoke of having pregnancy brain and craving Ginger Ale. She claimed that she felt more like bear than herself. “I sort of feel like a Koala bear where I’m slightly stoned all the time and say the wrong word.”

Congrats to the couple! We can’t wait to see pictures of the new little girl.

Though six months out of the year, professional figure skater Michael Weiss is on the road with Smucker’s “Stars on Ice,” he gets to spend the other six months as a stay-at-home dad to his 10-year-old daughter Annie-Mae and his 9-year-old son Christopher. He reveals that his kids have not shown much interest in taking after dad in the skating department, but he’s okay with that.

I don’t necessarily want to them to do what I’m doing just because I did it,” he told the Times Union. Using his own parents as role  models he says, You have to find a balance as to when you’re pushing too hard.”

On a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, actress Reese Witherspoon talked about her most important role: that of mom to 9-year-old Ava Elizabeth and 5-year-old Deacon Reese.

She admits, “I say lots of mom things, all sorts of things I never thought I would say. Like, you know, I’m not your friend — I’m your mother.” She added, “It’s not nice sometimes to be a mom, you have to be really tough. It is a very fine line. You can’t cross over it. Otherwise, they might think they’re winning.”

Though Reese is an award-winning actress, not to mention beautiful and seemingly humble, her kids at times think of her as “a huge dork.” We think she’s amazing, and a great mom, too!
