Charlie O’Connell honored to have a baby named after him
Former Bachelor star Charlie O’Connell is thrilled that one of his new neices share his moniker. As we reported, Jerry O’Connell and his wife Rebecca Romijn, are at home and resting with their new daughters, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip.
Since both mom and dad got to pick out one name, Jerry chose to honor his much loved brother by naming his daughter after her. Luckily “Charlie” can definitely be a unisex name so it fits…unlike some others that they could have come up with.
How did Charlie O’Connell react to the news? He told People, “[this] is going to help with my credit.” He also states that he can’t wait for the babies to grow up a little bit and get some personality. He hopes to buy them their first car…a Barbie Jeep…when they turn about three.
Just how seriously does Charlie O’Connell take his role as an uncle to the new babies? He describes it as “the best job of all. It seems like such a fun thing. I don’t have to deal with any of the hassles.” Sounds about right!
