Giada De Laurentiis has a girl
Food Network star and Today show contributor Giada De Laurentiis no longer has a bun in her oven. The celebrity chef welcomed a baby girl on Saturday, March 29th.
“Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson weighed in at 5 lbs, 13 oz,” her rep tells People.com. She goes on to say that Jade is a “healthy baby girl.” Her original due date was the first week of April.
Little Jade is the first child for the Everyday Italian star, 37, and her clothing designer husband, Todd Thompson.
This pregnancy was a surprise, albeit a pleasant surprise, to De Laurentiis. “When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock. I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, “There has got to be a mistake.”
