Food Network star and Today show contributor Giada De Laurentiis no longer has a bun in her oven. The celebrity chef welcomed a baby girl on Saturday, March 29th.

“Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson weighed in at 5 lbs, 13 oz,” her rep tells People.com. She goes on to say that Jade is a “healthy baby girl.” Her original due date was the first week of April.

Little Jade is the first child for the Everyday Italian star, 37, and her clothing designer husband, Todd Thompson.

This pregnancy was a surprise, albeit a pleasant surprise, to De Laurentiis. “When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock. I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, “There has got to be a mistake.”

Congratulations to the couple.

Actress and model Brooke Burke and her fiance, actor David Charvet, have decided on a name for their 3-week-old son.

Burke makes this announcement on her website:

“You heard it here first!  We have finally settled on a name.  We waited our whole lives for our son, and couldn’t find the perfect fit.  Poor guy! Now it’s official.

Shaya Charvet

We played with so many different names, and both loved Shaya the most. It means God’s gift in Hebrew.  David came up with a middle name, Braven, which I really like.  I want to give him part of my name too, so I am thinking about double Bs in the middle like my initials, Braven-Burke. He is the last Charvet to carry on David’s family name.  He is also the first boy in David’s family, the little brother of three princesses, and my youngest.  Ya think he is gonna be spoiled?!?!

We haven’t agreed on the middle name yet, but for all those who have been asking, Shaya Charvet it is!

Gwen Stefani just posted a message on her website in which she talks about working on a new album with her band No Doubt. The mom-to-be also ponders how being pregnant has affected her songwriting. Stefani is due this summer with her second child with her rocker hubby Gavin Rossdale. They have a 1 1/2 year-old son together named Kingston.

Been thinking so much about you all lately as I am back in the studio again with the boys trying to write some new music. What an amazing few years it has been. So inspired going through the dance record phase of my life. Thank you so much for all your support! The tour was incredible. The Zoey 101 star registered with the help of her cousin and wore a shirt that said, “The rumors are true.”

“Somebody called ahead to say they were coming in,” a source reports. Spears was wearing an engagement ring on her left hand from her boyfriend 18-year-old Casey Aldridge.

She lists Casey as the co-registrant, her event date (due date?) as July 10 with the message: “Thank you for supporting us during this special time.”

Any hints as to the sex of the baby? Spears registered for items such as a sage-green terry cloth changing pad cover and the Lazy Day Pooh 4 Pack Flannel Receiving Blankets (pictured). She also registered for the John Deere First Keys set, so I am towards another boy baby for the Spears family. Other items included an Ultrasound picture frame, Britax car seat and a Baby Einstein Neptune Ocean Play Gym.

I wonder if big sis Britney will buy her the Bugaboo Frog Stroller ($760) she registered for?

Country star Darryl Worley and his wife Kimberly are the proud first-time parents of a baby girl.

The baby announcement was made on his site:

“Congratulations to Darryl and his wife Kimberly on the birth of their baby girl Savannah Gail. Savannah was born on March 24th at 10:26pm.  She weighs 6 lbs, 6 ounces and is 19 and 3/4 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great.”

“There are no words to describe what has come into our lives,” Worley, 43, gushes. “All I can say is thank you Jesus.”

Savannah is the perfect name for the daughter of a country singer. Congratulations to the couple.
