    ok.. yea jamie shouldnt have gotten pregnant but you kno there are alot of kids out there that get pregnant the young.. i had my first baby at 17 so i cant say anything about her.i think everyone is givin her so much crap beacause she is a celeberty..and alot of young girls look up to her on zoey101.but i think ppl should leave her alone she is already pregnant and is probaly scared and there is nothing that can be done now so it it be.she has enough stress and she dont need nemore. that isnt good on the baby so i say just let it be , she is pregnant and is gonna learn by her mistakes.. i have 2 babies..a8 week old and my 2 year old and im only 20…..and jsut made 20 today…so maybe jamie will learn but maybe she wont.. its her bizz and her mom is wrong for makin money off her 16 year old mom-to-be…she needs to stay out of it.

    I think its a wake up call for all young ladies and the world. It show that teen pregnancy is not only happening in our world (singled parent house holds) but also in hollywood. So I feel like this is something that need to be addressed politicly not the issue of Jamie Lynn but TEEN PREGNANCY the world need to wake up too!!!!!!!!!!!!

    man, all you cats need to settle down. teen pregnancy shouldn’t be a shock or suprise to anyone. don’t forget that women used to be married as soon as they started having their period. she may have made a mistake, but she is taking responsibility for her actions, and handling it like an adult, instead of just getting an abortion and not telling anyone. i say good for her. live and let live.

    Okay…i cant stand people who sit here and judge her… you dont personally know her, and you cant say you know what she’s going through. She knows the choices she makes by keeping this baby and I’m saying GOOD FOR HER for keeping it. Killing a baby is just wrong at no matter WHAT stage; scientificly baby or not, its got a heart beat that you just cant hear yet.     How is teens getting pregnant a shock? Jaimie knows what she did, and even though it may not have been the best choice, she is dealing with it. It takes a lot of heart and responsibility dealing with pregnancy. My friend, who is also 16, just had her baby in Nov. 07′ and it is a beautiful, healthy baby. I can only hope that Jaimie has a safe, easy-as-possible pregnancy. It is beautiful to have a child of your own and NOBODY has the right to judge her on her on this. Jaimie being pregnant does NOT mean she’s turning into her sister or a whore!!! She is a young talented actress who is pregnant. SO WHAT! It is a done deal, so leave her alone!!     I think you’ll be a great mom. I know a lot of people who got pregnant a a young age, myself included, and my life has turned out just fine. I’m still with the father of my son, and my life isn’t screwed. So what if people are disappointed in you, because you became pregnant. It’s not something that will ruin your life. I think it is a very happy thing that will make you become even more of a woman! Stay strong and don’t let people bring you down by what they say! You’ll be fine, just keep you head high, and ignore the things that people say, since they have nothing better to do with their lives than put people down, just because they’re life isn’t going how they want it to!     there is hardly a day that goes by that I don’t feel the pain from

I know I was 17 when I had my first and I would not change one thing about it.     I think that people are too hard on her! I mean, she could have gotten an abortion and not even ended up in the press. But she did the RIGHT thing and kept her baby, which is the first step to being a good mother. I am 16 and i am pregnant as well. I’m already in college, have plans for the future, and am going to be a good mother and put my child first. People are too hard on teenage mothers because they say that we are going to end up on welfare, abusing our kids, or negleting our kids. Many women over the age of 18 are neglectful and don’t make good mom’s. It is an issue of maturity and personality— NOT about age. I’m sure many 16 year olds make better mothers than some 25 or 30 year olds. Jamie Lynn has made the right decesion so far. The media should not damage her image and gossip about her. She hasn’t done anything horrible or hurt anyone! Sure, if she ends up a wreck of a mother, THEN write a story about it. I think the media should give her the benifit of the doubt and not make her out to be a “bad” girl. I know how bad it feels to be constantly talked about at my close knit workplace, where everyone knows everything about everyone- even if its someone they dont know. All arround the workplace I am known as “the 16 year old pregnant girl”. its horrible, and I cant emgine how much worse it must be for her. I sympathize and relate greatly–not about the fact that she is pregnant, but about how the media must be making her feel.

    C. I have found that to a point, it really does not matter how you were raised, but what you have been exposed to (not necessarily the parents’ fault) so how can you dumb people accuse someone’s mother because their daughter is pregnant?

    I am 19 years old and I got pregnant when I was 17. I am very happily married to my baby’s daddy thank you very much. Me getting pregnant had nothing to do with the way my parents raised me. Having sex before marriage was my choice, not theirs. How many people ask their parents what they should do before say, drinking alcohol? or smoking a cigarette? Well, I’m pretty sure if my parents told me I shouldn’t, I wouldn’t listen to them! Same with premarital sex! No one knows, the spears’ mother and father could’ve drilled and drilled not to have sex before marriage, but ultimately, the decision is theirs. I am not trying to justify sex before marriage, I know it’s wrong, but it is a personal choice. I agree that if you have sex you should understand the risk and know what you would do should you get pregnant, but Jamie is keeping her baby!

    And another thing:
    How can you call someone a slut or a whore? This could’ve been her first time. There are a lot of girls who sleep around and just don’t end up getting pregnant and there are some that do. Its just something that happens as a result of having sex. It does not matter if you use birth control, you should still understand that you too can get pregnant just as easy as someone not using birth control.

    The best way to not get pregnant is to not have sex! I hope that is something that one day people can understand as complicated as that sounds.

    Everyone should keep their opinions to themselves concerning this topic. It does not affect anyone else but Jamie Lynn and her family. People have no right to sit and judge her or her sister when you don’t know them or their situation.     Well, to all you people that think SHE was irresponsible then get this, My younger cousin (im 15)got pregnant in July, she was 14, she kept telling everyone that the only reason she was gaining weight was because she was on the shot (birth control). She finally told her mother in March that she was 8 months pregnant! She turned 15 February 23.
    So, if anyone wants to call Jamie Lynn irresponsible read that again and again until you get my drift. By the way, I think Jamie Lynn is doing a fantastic job, she got her GED, and is getting ready to have a baby.

    Well, I can obviously tell by the total idiotic rambling in this thread that the majority of you are all immature children who think it is “cool” that Jamie is doing things that are meant to be done by older, wiser adults. It is meant to be shared between a man and a woman. Why? Because let’s think about this… She is 16 years old, probably has not even been driving for much more than two years if that, she does not have enough life experience to properly raise a child, as she is a child herself. I also read somewhere in this thread some idiot was rambling on about “you don’t see her out partying and doing drugs blah blah blah, she’s nothing like her sister….” Well DUH she is only 16, most CLUBS you have to be at least 18 to get in and the girl has another good 5 years ahead of her before she is even legally able to drink, so that answers that dumb statement. And who knows what else she is doing, obviously she had enough privacy to engage in sex, where was mommy and daddy when this was going on? Jamie, Lindsey, Miley all of them are corrupting the minds of the youth, and yes all you kids are being brain washed. These girls are turning into sluts because that is what “sells” and it’s because of dip shit parents who don’t raise their kids right or raise enough hell over this sort of thing that it continues to happen. It’s sick, twisted and every time something like this happens our children take note and before you know it, it’s now “trendy” to be a young unwed mother to be, thanks Juno. So, no she hasn’t shaved her head yet, but give her time, it won’t be long before the Spears girls are sharing a room with padded walls. This world is so screwed up, we got babies having babies and morons clapping for them. No, she should not have an abortion, she should endure every single agonizing moment of labor, feel every sleepless night when she could be out having fun with her friends, experiencing every time her friends go to a movie and she can’t, be held accountable for every DIME that has to be spent on diapers, formula, blah blah blah, count every single stretch mark on her young body, and then look in the mirror at the end of the day and realize she was not ready. Then have the decency to stand up and tell the truth so that other young girls playing with fire might think twice instead of lying to everyone saying “how wonderful it is”. There is nothing wonderful about being 16 and pregnant. Sorry, that is a LIE. Take it from an experienced 30 year old married woman with two children. Bringing children into the world should not be up to the children of the world, and believe me, there are more than enough VALID reason why.
