British singer Lily Allen is pregnant
British singing sensation Lily Allen, 22, is pregnant with her first child, reports People.com. Allen has been dating Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers since September and he is reportedly the father.
“As the pregnancy is at a very, very early stage, the couple asks that you respect their privacy,” her rep says. “The couple will be making no further comment but they are obviously both thrilled by the news.”
Allen’s debut album, Alright, Still, was a success, however the young singer had recently spoke about wanting to leave fame behind and start a family. “Maybe I could retire at 25. I’m only going to do one more album,” she told the Sunday Times. “It’s a great job, but it doesn’t leave time for what’s important. Like having a family. I’d like to live in the country and have a walled garden, and chickens and pigs.”
