Jaime Pressley welcomes baby Dezi
The wait is finally over for actress Jaime Pressley and her fiancé Eric Cubiche.
Dezi James made his (slightly overdue) entrance into the world on Friday, May 11, at 7:31 a.m. in Los Angeles, reports People. Weighing 6 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring 18 1/2 inches in length, Jaime tells her publicist: “This kid is gorgeous.”
The My Name is Earl star chose the name Dezi James because her fiance is Cuban-American and likes to do the Desi Arnaz impersonation — “Luuucy” — when he comes home. The middle name, James, is after Pressley’s father.
As is the trend for many celebrity couples, babies come first and marriage comes later…if at all. “I do want to be a princess for a day, but it’s not necessary to do that before you have kids. A lot of women do it later,” she says.
