Oscar De La Hoya’s fight night baby surprise
Even though boxer Oscar De La Hoya lost the highly-hyped match-up on Saturday, he was still in good spirits. Why? His wife, Puerto Rican pop singer Millie Corretjer, told him some good news—he was going to be a father again.
“I think tonight is a good night to tell him. He has a lot to look forward to now,” she tells the Los Angeles Times.
This will be the couple’s second child together. Their son, Oscar Gabriel, will turn 2 in December. De La Hoya has two other children (9-year-old Jacob and 8-year-old Atlanta) from previous relationships. Shanna Moakler (now wife of Travis Barker) is the mother of Atlanta.
Corretjer, who met De La Hoya through their record label, tells reporters after the fight that her husband may have a lot more time to devote to his family. “I have a feeling this may be it for him,” she tells reporters. “I know this because he just told me.”
