Larry Birkhead & Dannielynn’s first family portrait

larry1.jpgProud father Larry Birkhead and his look-alike daughter, Dannielynn, pose together for their first family portrait since DNA tests revealed he is the biological father of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter. He talks to OK! Magazine about 7-month-old Dannielynn and how Howard K. Stern has (surprisingly!) become his ally.

Birkhead on Stern: “In the end of this, he’s the one who’s become on my side, my ally.  Let me say this, I think certain people have done things not because they wanted to, but because they were asked. I don’t hold Howard 100% responsible. I think some things happened there and whatever reasons he said that, it’s fine. There’s been a lot of hurt and heartache and right now my main goal is transitioning Dannielynn to me from him and he’s been great, and he’s been helpful and he’s been supportive, which does show me that he does have good inside of him regardless of what people are out there saying. Howard did things for Anna that no one wanted to do. I actually feel sorry for Howard.”

“People blame a lot on him but Anna had her own mind too. She had a choice and we were arguing and that’s what happens.”

On caring for his daughter: Everyone’s been really helpful, actually, even Howard’s been helpful. It seems unlikely to most, but he’s been a great help. He’s just really tuned me in because he’s been with Dannielynn the last several months, he knows her likes and dislikes and things like that that could help me out.

On Smith’s mother, Virgie, who is filing for custody: If she wants to be a grandmother, she can be a grandmother, my mom wants to be a grandmother too, but I’m not going to sign a paper saying so, it’s just not right.

Birkhead goes on to say that, even though he did not have input in his daughter’s name, he will keep her first name Dannielynn saying, “I still want to respect her mother’s wishes.” Her last name will be changed from Stern for Birkhead.

I am hoping that this is the final chapter in what has become the “Anna Nicole Smith Soap Opera.” Dannielynn is where she should be–with her father. Howard K. Stern has rightly relinquished his role as father and is actually helping Birkhead with the transition. Everyone seems happy…for now. Why do I have the feeling that Virgie is waiting in the wings to disrupt everything?

Blue Wiggle & his little boy blue

wiggle.jpgAnthony Field, who may be better known as “the blue Wiggle,” is finally able to dress one of his children in his signature color.

Field and his wife Miki welcomed their first son on Friday. He will be welcomed home by daughters Lucia Angela, 3, and Maria Claire, 18 months.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Antonio Carlos was born after a three hour labor weighing 3.5 Kilograms (that is around 7 pounds to us Yanks). “He’s beautiful. He’s a lovely little boy,” Field gushes.

Their son’s name was inspired partly by their Catholic faith (St. Anthony), and partly by a musical inspiration (Argentinean tango musician Carlos Gardel).

A week overdue, little Antonio made his appearance only 1 hour after arriving at the hospital. “They are delirious with happiness,” the Wiggles’ manager, Paul Field, reports.

Being a “children’s entertainer,” you wouldn’t think Field to be the sort to be tattooed. He reports he plans on getting his son’s name inked on his arm—right to his daughters’ names.

Donald Trump’s secret gift to Barron

melania_trump180.jpgMelania Trump, wife to The Donald, describes her life with 1-year-old Barron. “He’s a very smart boy with a lot of energy—sometimes he’s hard to control,” she tells People.

Melania, 36, boasts:”He’s walking and talking: He says Dadada and Mama. He’s throwing a lot of stuff and he’s just an amazing, amazing boy.”  Hopefully Melania will teach Barron to keep his ego in check—something Donald is still trying to learn.

The Slovenian model says it can be a challenge to balance life with a baby. “It’s combining the whole thing together. It’s another person that we have to take care of. It’s exciting, but it’s responsibility too.”

Unlike most children who celebrate their birthdays at Peter Piper pizza, Barron celebrated his at Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida resort called Mar-a-Lago. What could they have possibly gotten their son that he didn’t already have? “I don’t want to talk about it, but it was a very special gift.”

Trump Tower, perhaps?

Tori Spelling jogging–already!

walkingtori.jpgNew-mom Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott start her post-baby workout together as they jog through Beverly Hills.

Spelling gave birth to her first child, Liam Aaron McDermott on March 13th. The actress delivered via c-section therefore most doctors recommend waiting 6 weeks before starting any type of exercise program (especially something as strenuous as jogging). Although People reports she is “shaping up during a jog,” maybe she is just walking–it is hard to tell in the picture.

Did you wait 6 weeks before starting your diet and exercise program?

Naomi Watts gets motherhood tips from some famous friends

watts.jpgActress Naomi Watts gets motherhood tips from fellow moms Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler. The photo, courtesy of People, was taken at the opening of fashion designer Tom Ford’s New York store at the Carlyle hotel.

Watts, 37, is 6-months pregnant with her first child. Daddy is boyfriend Liev Schreiber.

What do you think of Watt’s pregnancy style? I like the dress, but I think a green or red color would have kept her from looking washed out.

Marcia Cross & her covergirls

marcia_cross2_180.jpgDesperate Housewives star Marcia Cross shows off her double bundle of joy: fraternal twins Savannah and Eden. The twins are the first children for Cross, 45, and her husband Tom Mahoney. The actress shares her thoughts on motherhood, breastfeeding, in vitro and more in this month’s People magazine.

Cross on motherhood: “I wanted to be a member of that club so badly, and now I’m in and it’s so much better than I even imagined. I’ll tell you my routine – it’s really exciting. I feed, I burp, I change diapers, I pump. And then I have a tiny window of time to myself.”

What honeymoon? Cross decided her clock was ticking–their honeymoon could wait! The newlyweds married in June. “We did in vitro a week after we got married. We were supposed to go to Greece and Paris and have this fancy honeymoon, and I said, ‘Let’s stay put and see if we can’t give this baby a chance.’ ”
After discovering she had preeclampsia, a dangerous disorder resulting in high blood pressure, Cross had her twins 4 weeks early via cesarean. On Feb. 20, she welcomed 6 lbs. 7 oz. Savannah and 5 lbs. 10 oz. Eden. “I had over 12 lbs. of baby in me!”

Cross has learned how to breastfeed the twins (with the help of a nurse) and she says that “is a huge accomplishment!”

Are more kids in her future? “I’m probably done, but I certainly can see why people keep going – but for now she’s enjoying the moment: “I’m in heaven right now.”

Larry Birkhead is the father of Dannilynn!

birkhead.jpgLarry Birkhead may have said it best: “I told you so!”

Anna Nicole Smith’s ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead has just been named the biological father of her daughter, Dannilynn Hope.

A court in the Bahamas revealed the much-anticipated paternity results not long ago. Howard K. Stern has said he will not interfere with the results; however Smith’s (crazy) mother, Virgie Arthur, does want custody of the little girl.

E! News is reporting that Birkhead said he is on his way to the toy store to pick up gifts for his daughter.

I can’t say I am surprised. Dannilynn looked just like Birkhead, and not an ounce like Stern!
