Phoenix Coyotes player Jeremy Roenick is facing some family health issues this holiday season. ESPN is reporting that the hockey player will be missing some games (he has already missed last Saturday’s game) due to an undisclosed illness facing his teenage daughter, Brandi.

Coyotes coach, Wayne Gretsky, made this statement: “The most important thing is the health of his child. That’s more important than what we’ve got going on right now.”

Roenick and his wife also have a son named Brett.

All My Children actress Sydney Penny (AKA Julia) has announced to TV Guide that she is pregnant. Due in June, this is the first child for Penny, 35, and her husband of 11 years, Robert.

The show has not decided how they are going to address her pregnancy, but Penny hopes they write it in. “I have a feeling that they’re going to write my pregnancy in…I’m hesitant to definitely say yes or no until I actually see it in a script. That certainly would make it easier for me, because it’s so hard to cover it up if you’re not going to play the pregnancy. You know, you’re carrying luggage and hiding behind furniture.”

Is Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo pregnant? If you believe the rumor mill (Hollywood Backlash), the skinny starlet is reportedly 6 weeks pregnant!

Pompeo, 37, did just recently announce her engagement to musical producer Christopher Ivery 1 month ago so a baby announcement is the logical next step. A friend says, “No one is surprised they’re getting married–they can’t spend a night apart. Chris is Ellen’s biggest supporter and has really impressed people with how dedicated he is to her success and career.”

Larry Birkhead, Anna Nicole Smith’s ex-boyfriend who claims he is the father of her 3-month-old daughter, has posted a picture of himself as a baby and a picture of Dannielynn Hope with the words:

Actor Ethan Hawke opens up to Parade magazine about his public divorce from actress Uma Thurman and the effects this has had on their two children–daughter Maya, 8, and son Levon, 4.

How celebrity affected his marriage: “To be honest, it was an undue pressure on my marriage. I didn’t like being famous when I was single, and what it did to my celebrity status to be married to another famous person was a huge pressure – one I didn’t enjoy. And it had nothing to do with her. Nothing to do with her.”

Don’t you love it when celebrities say they “hate being famous?” Why did they choose to be an actor and star in movies if that is not what they want?

On being a father: “the greatest pleasure in my life. It’s the only role that, if I fail, I will consider my life a failure.”

His relationship with Uma: “Our burden is just getting along, not hurting each other’s feelings, and letting each other grow – letting the tides take our lives away from each other and dealing with the disappointment of a dream that didn’t happen. Uma as a mother:  “She’s my children’s mother,” he says. “You have to keep that above anything else. If you bring two people into the world together, that supersedes anything else. She’s a great mother, and raising the kids is a priority for both of us. We’re so fortunate that we have each other’s back in that way. Because I write and act in theater, it’s a lot easier for me to stay in the city. But my ex-wife has done a phenomenal job of that as well. She plans all her movies to shoot in New York.”

A California judge has ordered Anna Nicole Smith to undergo a paternity test to determine the father of her 3-month-old daughter, Dannielynn Hope, reports People.

Anna’s ex-boyfriend, freelance photographer Larry Birkhead, has been insisting that he is the father of Dannielynn. Anna and her lawyer-turned-husband Howard K. Stern have claimed that Howard is the true father.

Birkhead released a statement saying: “If I was on anybody’s Christmas list, they can scratch me off because this is the best Christmas present I could have ever received. I’m one step closer to beginning a relationship with my daughter.”

Anna’s lawyer only said that, “This isn’t nearly the end of the story.”

I can’t wait to find out the results of the test. Who do you think is the legitimate father? I think Dannielynn looks more like Larry than Howard.
