Madonna adopts 1-year-old David
People is reporting that Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie have adopted a 1-year-old boy from Africa.
Liz Rosenberg, the couple’s rep, confirms that they “have been granted custody of their son David. Final legal arrangements are being made to bring him home to his new family.”
Madonna’s rep had originally said that she was in the African country of Malawi for “humanitarian work,” which included helping to build orphanages, denying rumors that she was wanting to adopt.
David joins the couple’s son, 6-year-old Rocco, and 10-year-old Lourdes.
