Madonna said she offered to leave adopted son with father

Madonna opens up to the Today show’s Meredith Vieira about her controversial adoption of the 13-month-old boy, David Banda, from Malawi. She tells Vieira that she offered to leave the boy with her father and to help him out financially, but he declined.

“When I met (the boy’s father), I said I would be happy to…bring (David) back to your village and help you financially raise him and he said no…I think he truly felt in his heart of hearts that–and whop knows if he was telling me the truth–that he would have a better life with me. So, when he said no, that was my sign that it was my responsibility to look after him.

Toni Braxton talks about her son’s autism

braxton.jpgSinger Toni Braxton talks to Contact Music about her 3-year-old son’s Autism.

Braxton, famous for the hit ballads like “Unbreak My Heart,” feels like her doctors ignored her when she knew something was wrong with Diezel.

“They dismissed me. I don’t know if it would have made a difference or not for him to be diagnosed earlier, but they had a ‘wait and see’attitude. It makes me so angry because a mother knows when something is wrong with her child.”

Braxton says she had to insist her child be tested further before she was taken seriously.

The soulful singer and her husband, Keri Lewis, have two sons. Diezel Ky is 3 and Denim Cole is 4 1/2.
