Gwyneth Paltrow shares post-baby weight loss tips
Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow looks radiant on the September cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The new-mom opens up about losing the baby weight, her post-baby figure, and her all-natural beauty secrets.
Paltrow and her rocker husband (Coldplay’s Chris Martin) have been busy with their two children, Apple, 2, and Moses, 4 months. The couple has, however, figured out how to squeeze in some relaxation time at their London home. “[After putting the kids to bed] I come downstairs, pour myself a glass of red wine and sit in the garden,” she confesses.
The Shakespeare in Love star talks about losing the 40 lbs. she gained with each child. “The first time, you are horrified. It’s all lovely when you are pregnant; but when you are not pregnant and you haven’t been for a couple of months and you are still carrying tons of extra weight and everything’s all hanging and sagging, you think, How is this ever going to go back? But it does. If you do a lot of working out.”
“With Apple I kept the extra 20 pounds on until she was three months old, and then it came off,” she tells Harper’s. “And that’s exactly what’s happening now.” Paltrow says she has been exercising, “but not dieting, because I am a milk machine.”
The seemingly perfect Paltrow confesses that she is anything but perfect. “They should see the cellulite on my thighs right now.”
Paltrow, 33, says the key to looking and staying beautiful includes, “Drink tons of water, and wear sunscreen. And I really do think that if you eat fresh, organic, good food, you look like it.”
