Brooke Shields gave Us magazine a peek inside the nursery of daughter Grier’s “rabbit-themed” nursery. “Brooke wants ‘Bunny’ to be Grier’s nickname,” designer Wendy Bellissimo said of her girly and serene creation.
Bellissimo, who also decorated 3-year-old Rowan’s nursery, made Grier’s room very feminine. “With [daughter]Rowan, Brooke went gender-neutral,” the designer says, “But with Grier she said, ‘Get some pink in there!’” Shields loved the “girlie, but sophisticated” Vintage Teaberry Collection (pictured, left) and rabbit-themed artwork from Babies R’Us.
Where does little Grier sleep at night? Shield’s loves “sweet and elegant furnishings” like a honey-colored convertible crib set. Bellissimo got creative and took a plain changing dresser (similar to this one at babiesrus.com) and customized it with flower ornaments.
Bellissimo revealed Shield’s reaction to seeing her new nursery: “To see Brooke sit down and take a deep breath and know that the room was ready was such a gift. It was very special.”
