Nicole Kidman sends well wishes to baby Suri…sort of
Nicole Kidman has finally made a public statement to ex-husband Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes on the birth of their daughter. “I hope both mother and baby are doing well,” read the statement from her publicist.
With the glaring omission of Tom’s well-being, it is not as much as what the statement did say…but what it did not say.
The Oscar-winning actress was married to Cruise for 11 years, before he ended it in 2001. The Cold Mountain star has kept relatively quiet the last year, as this “new” outspoken and openly affectionate Cruise has emerged.
Although Cruise and Kidman had maintained they keep in close contact, Kidman was reportedly “devastated” after finding out on TV that fiancee Katie Holmes was going to give birth to his first biological child. Kidman and Cruise have two adopted children, Isabella and Connor.
Kidman and Cruise allegedly had a huge disagreement over Tom’s insistence that Isabella and Connor be in the delivery room for the birth of Suri, itv reports. Kidman reportedly put her foot down saying the experience would be too traumatizing for the two kids. (ya’ think?)
Amidst all her hard times, don’t feel too sorry for Kidman. Since her divorce from Cruise, she has been busy polishing her Oscars, counting her money and snuggling up to country singer (and fellow Aussie) Keith Urban.
