Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes reportedly having a girl
Access Hollywood reported today that TomKat dropped a mere $20,000 (pocket change for this superstar couple) at Petit Trésor, and it was not on blue baby items, as previously reported. That’s right — the PDA-happy couple is having a girl!
The co-owner of Petit Trésor, a swanky LA baby boutique (the name means “little treasure” for those of you who are French-impaired), was more than happy to reveal some of the loot the smiley odd-couple took home. “It’s very easy to rack up an expensive bill especially when you are as excited like she is and it is your first baby, ” Samantha Winch told Access Hollywood.
Katie reportedly wants a classic, “old-fashioned nursery” and choose a nursery pattern to compliment that theme. “It incorporates all the beautiful rhymes, nursery rhymes that we are all very familiar with from “Humpty Dumpty” to “Cat and the Fiddle” and bringing us back to what is beautiful and what is intrinsic in an old-fashioned nursery,” business partner Nina Takesh explains.
The soon-to-be Mrs Cruise was in a mink mood and bought a mink teddy bear, which came with a mink hat and a plush $155 mink throw (all faux, of course). Katie also loved a plush elephant and couldn’t wait for someone to buy it off their registry, so she purchased it herself (celebrities have registries?!?) “The elephant was adored by Katie. It’s very plush and soft and she just couldn’t stop squeezing it” Samantha dishes. The Dawson’s Creek star also picked out her diaper bag — a Fleurville which retails for $178 (similiar to this one). Reports had said the couple had previously been in the store snapping photos of cribs, but the boutique didn’t reveal any furniture purchases.
The paparazzi’s favorite couple is expecting their baby any minute now. No word yet on the name of their TomKitten.
